Cognacs Frapin are made entirely on the family’s single estate which includes 240 hectares of vines surrounding the Château de Fontpinot. The whole property lies in the Grande Champagne area which is regarded as Cognac’s best appellation. The VIP XO which is enriched with very old brandies, combines the age, roundness, bouquet, and finesse that is characteristic of very old Champagne cognac distilled over lees.
"Delicate intriguing nose of citrus blossom, rose and iris. This is folllowed with delicious vanilla, crème brulée, dried apricot and figs, roasting hazelnut and warm humus. The palate is a perfect balance of superb eau de vie, perfect oak integration and wonderful captured flavours. Huge complexity of flavours and warm textures herald this as a fantastic example of how Grande Champagne can taste."
