The Story

Alinta, “fire” in Indigenous Australian, captures campfire embers in Scotch form, merging sweet smoke with delicate floral sweetness for a truly distinctive Lowland malt.

Crafted at Bladnoch under Dr Nick Savage, Alinta begins with wild-yeast fermentation of peated spirit, then sees a marriage of Pedro Ximénez Sherry and ex-Bourbon casks, fusing Lowland elegance with smoky Aussie inspiration, ensuring each batch carries both smoke and sweetness.

Alinta stands out for its bold use of peated spirit in a Lowland context and its dual-cask maturation, delivering campfire smoke, raisin sweetness, and floral grace at 47% ABV.

Pairing Suggestions: Dark chocolate truffles, roasted chestnuts or sticky barbecue ribs.

Tasting Note: Nose of smoky ice cream, delicate florals and sweet oak. A palate of campfire smoke, almonds and raisin with white-chocolate body; finish long and gently smoky.

Origin: Bladnoch, Galloway, Scotland

Alcohol: 47.0% vol
